Mr. Sandeep Sharma, learned A.G.A. with Mrs. Rangoli Purohit, learned Brief Holder for the State. 3. The petitioners Smt. Minakshi D/o Arvind Kumar and Utsav Anand S/o Late Vinod Kumar Anand praying for adequate protection for their life and liberty since there is a threat perception from respondent nos. 3 and 4, who are the parents of petitioner no. 1. 4. It is contended in the petition that both the petitioners known to each other since long back and were in love and now married with each other in Old Satyeshwar Temple, Laksar, P.S. Kotwali, District Haridwar on 17.04.2026, though no such marriage certificate is enclosed. It is contended that they now proceed for registration of their marriage. 5. In support of age Aadhar card of petitioner no. 1 is enclosed according to which her date of birth is 03.04.2000 and so far as the petitioner no. 2 is concerned the marksheets have been enclosed, according to which his date of birth is 03.04.2000 and as such are major. Both are the residents of Uttarakhand and the permanent resident certificates are also enclosed. 6. It is submitted that since there is threat perception so in precaution they also made a representation to the S.S.P., Haridwar. 7. On the other side, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, learned A.G.A. have not disputed on their age, however, with regard to the marriage he submits that no such any documentary proof has been enclosed, however in the representation, which was made to the S.S.P., there is a reference that both of them were married in a temple on 17.04.2026. 2026:UHC:2821 8. Admittedly, there is no dispute that both the petitioners are major and, as such, they are free to marry with each other and if there is any threat perception the State Administration have to assess and take appropriate steps. 9. Both the petitioners are present in court and are identified by their counsel and this court also interact particularly with the petitioner no. 1, who submits that she has full regard to her parents and there is no such threat perception but since they were not happy with this marriage, therefore, there is some apprehension of threat. 10. In view of the observation and contention as above instant writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the S.S.P. concerned to call upon the respondent nos. 3 and 4 and discuss with them in the presence of both the petitioners and also advise them, now both are major and well educated, therefore, accept their marriage happily. If the S.S.P. comes to the conclusion that there is any threat perception take appropriate steps. 11. All pending applications are disposed of accordingly.
