The petitioner seeks challenge to the order dated 10.08.2026 passed by the learned Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Akot, District Akola under Section 56(1) of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (for short, ‘the Act of 1951’) thereby externing the petitioner. 2. In view of the fact that the alternate remedy is available to the petitioner by filing statutory appeal under Section 60 of the Act of 1951, the learned counsel for the petitioner, upon instructions, seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the competent Appellate Authority. 3. Permission is granted. 4. The writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. However, in view of the request made by the counsel for the petitioner, the Appellate Authority is directed to decide such appeal within a stipulated period of six weeks from the date of filing of the same.
