Ms. Anushka Ganguly ….for the petitioner Mr. Atanu Basu Mr. Sourav Halder ….for the State respondents 1) At the time of call, accommodation is prayed for on behalf of petitioner on the ground of learned advocate which is refused taking note of the case made out in writ petition. 2) State respondents are not represented. 3) Mr. Atanu Basu, learned advocate is present in Court who usually represents State respondents. Mr. Basu is requested to enter appearance on behalf of State respondents. Learned Government Pleader is requested to regularize engagement of Mr. Basu on behalf of State respondents. 4) Prayer is made in writ petition seeking direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps anticipating petitioner may face intimidation and threat from others. However, no incident is pinpointed in representation dated 11th June, 2026 made by 2 learned advocate on behalf of petitioner and name of persons who are threatening or intimidating petitioner are also not disclosed in said representation. 5) On behalf of State respondents a communication dated 20th August, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Uluberia Police Station is placed before this Court and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 6) It is disclosed in communication dated 20th August, 2026 that police is keeping strict vigil and a police team went to office and residence of petitioner but nothing was found requiring registration of FIR. However, GD Entry was made on 18th August, 2026. According to the concerned police authority, no cognizable offence was reported. 7) Hence, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and writ petition stands disposed of. 8) However, concerned police authority is directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale. 9) Parties to act on server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
