Mr. Tarun Lakhera, learned B.H. for the State. 3. Petitioner has filed this writ petition on the premise that petitioner’s application for armed license is pending since 2024 with respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already undergone the training required under Rule 10(1) of The Arms License Rules 2016, and according to him, there is no hurdle in consideration of his application. 5. He further submits that for the reason best known to the respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, the application of the petitioner has yet not been decided. He further submitted that a detailed report has also been filed by the in charge officer(arms) district US Nagar in respect of the application moved by the petitioner for arm license with strong recommendations vide letter dated 09.02.2026 annexure-2 to the writ petition. The name of the petitioner is mentioned at serial no. 06 of the annexure-2 to the writ petition. 6. The petitioner made an innocuous prayer that if a direction is issued to the respondent no. 2, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar to take a decision on the application of the petitioner for arm license in the light of the report dated 09.02.2026 annexure-2 to the writ petiton within a time frame, justice would be done. 2 7. There is no opposition from the side of the respondents if such a prayer is granted. 8. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of and it is provided that respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar shall consider and shall take a decision on the application of the petitioner on the basis of the detailed report/recommendation dated 09.02.2026 annexure-2 to the writ petition, within a period of four weeks’ from the date of production of certified copy of this order, strictly, in accordance with law.
