JUSTICE P SREE SUDHA ORAL ORDER Heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. This transfer petition is filed by the petitioner/wife for transfer of M.C.No.410/2025 filed by the respondent/husband before the Family Court at Shimoga to the Principal Judge, Family Court at Chikamagalur. It is contended that the petitioner is residing at Chikamagalur along with her parents and her minor daughter aged 3 years. It is further submitted that she is not working and earning income. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20286 CP No. 68 of 2026 3. Further, it is stated that the respondent is an engineer and is residing at Shimoga. The petitioner has also filed Crl.Mis.No.272/2025 before the Court of the Principal Judge, Family Court at Chikamagalur for maintenance. The distance between Chikamagalur and Shimoga is about 97 kilometres. As it is inconvenient for the petitioner to travel along with the minor child, this Court finds it reasonable to transfer M.C.No.410/2025 from the Family Court, Shimoga to the Court of the Principal Judge, Family Court at Chikamagalur to try along with Crl.Misc.No.272/2025 filed by her for maintenance. 4.
