1. The petitioner complains that the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities had not effected electricity supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump despite application thererfor having been made by the petitioner.
2. Mr. Halder, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had applied for electricity connection for the petitioner’s submersible pump in the year 2024 but electricity supply has not been effected.

Learned Advocate appearing for the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities submits that upon the petitioner’s application an inspection was conducted at site but the petitioner’s application could not be processed further as neither the meter room had been constructed by the petitioner nor the bore well had been sunk.

4. Mr. Halder, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the meter room has been constructed and the bore well has also been sunk.
5. It will be open to the petitioner to inform the WBSEDCL Authorities about the petitioner having met the requisite compliances including construction of the meter room and sinking the bore well.
6. Within a week of the petitioner supplying such information as aforesaid to the WBSEDCL Authorities, the WBSEDCL Authorities will conduct a fresh inspection. If it is found by the WBSEDCL Authorities upon such inspection, that the petitioner is entitled to electricity supply for his submersible pump, in accordance with law, then the WBSEDCL Authorities would effect electricity supply in favour of the petitioner, subject to the petitioner complying with all necessary formalities including payment of requisite charges.
7. WPA 20956 of 2026 stands disposed of. No costs.
8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
