Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the wife of Apurba Mandal. She has been residing in her parental house since 2025 along with her two-year-old child. On March 10, 2026 at about 10:00 P.M., the husband of the petitioner went to her parental house and started quarrelling with her. Thereafter, to save himself, he lodged a complaint against the petitioner and other accused persons on March 11, 2026. Other co-accused persons are on bail. He prays for anticipatory bail on any terms and conditions. 2. Learned Advocate appearing for the State strongly opposes the bail prayer and submits that when he went to her parental house to take her back, the petitioner as well as other co-accused persons severely assaulted him and he 2 suffered grievous injuries on his head. He also placed reliance upon the injury report. 3. Having heard the submission of the respective parties and on perusal of the materials-on-record including the injury report as well as statement of the witnesses, this Court finds that the victim is stated to have sustained a cut injury on the head, measuring about 1 cm x 7 cm, necessitating 9 (nine) stitches. Accordingly, her prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. 4. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1969 of 2026 is, thus, rejected. 5. All concerned parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 6. Concerned Department is directed to supply urgent certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.)
