By the present writ petition, the petitioner, who is an employee of the Chief Municipal O4cer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Bankimongra, District Korba, Chhattisgarh, has prayed for a direction to respondent No.2 to release and disburse the outstanding EPF employee's contribution amounting to Rs.4,50,696/- payable to the petitioner along with interest. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid amount has already been transferred by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), respondent No.5, to the 3 Urban Administration and Development Department/respondent No.2. He further submits that the said fact has neither been controverted nor disputed by learned counsel appearing for respondent No.5. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has already submitted a representation before the Director, Urban Administration and Development Department, on 06.07.2026, which is ?led as Annexure P/3, and therefore, appropriate direction may be issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the said representation and release the amount payable to the petitioner along with interest. 4. Learned State counsel submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner, Annexure P/3, shall be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law within a period of 45 days. 5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the petitioner's representation dated 06.07.2026 (Annexure P/3) in accordance with law and on its own merits and, after due veri?cation of the claim, release the amount found payable to the petitioner, along with admissible 4 interest, within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner and the competent authority shall take an appropriate decision strictly in accordance with law. 7.
