During Course of hearing, no one appears on behalf of the State respondents. 2. Mr. Suryaneel Das, learned Additional Government Pleader is present in Court. He is requested to represent State respondents in this matter. 3. Mr. Chatterjee, learned Senior Advocate prays for direction upon the concerned police authorities for giving permission to hold a political rally today at 3.00 pm in Nowda, Murshidabad. 4. However, Mr. Das, learned Additional Government Pleader has no instruction on this issue. 5. On perusal of this writ petition, it appears that an application was forwarded to the concerned police authorities through email on 15th August, 2026 seeking permission to hold rally today, 18th August, 2026. 2 6. Learned advocate representing the petitioner prays for leave to withdraw this writ petition. 7. In view of such submission made on behalf of the petitioner, writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. 8. However, this order shall not preclude the concerned police authorities to take decision on the application made by the petitioner through email on 15th August, 2026 seeking permission to hold rally today, i.e. 18th August, 2026 at 3.00 pm in Nowda, Murshidabad. 9.
