The petitioner is aggrieved that the amount incurred on account of his father’s treatment has not been reimbursed by the authorities in spite of his entitlement. 2. The petitioner’s father was an employee of the Excise Department and worked as a Constable. The petitioner’s father had been suffering from several diseases including severe heart disease. The petitioner’s father underwent treatment for a substantial period of time and expired on September 13, 2025. 3. During his lifetime and even thereafter, the petitioner’s father had spent sufficient amount of money for his medical treatment, which, according to the petitioner, he was entitled to be reimbursed under the West Bengal Health Scheme, 2008. 4. The petitioner has pursued the rights of the deceased employee without any avail. 2 5. In fact, his representation, which was sent on October 28, 2025, has not yet been considered. 6. In view thereof, I direct the respondent no. 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law and if found entitled upon considering all requisite documents, will proceed to disburse the amount, which may be found due and payable. Let such consideration be made by September 30, 2026. The resultant order will be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereafter. 7. If the respondent no. 3 seeks further documents, the same may be produced by the petitioner before the said respondent. 8. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 10. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.) 3
