Ankita Nag, ... for the Petitioner The petitioner is in custody for more than seven years and submits that the only independent witness has been declared hostile by the prosecution. I have considered the material on record. The allegation against the petitioner is extremely serious. Nine out of fifteen witnesses have been examined. Offence, if proved, shall attract mandatory life imprisonment. Considering the material on record and gravity of the offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and take the same to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible. CRM (M) 403 of 2025 is disposed of.
