04/08/2026 D/L – 56 Court No.35 S. Kundu Allowed C.R.M.(A) 1811 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023. In connection with Tamluk P.S case no. 415 of 2026 dated 11/06/2026 under Sections 126(2)/115(2)/117(2)/109/303(2)/351(2)/3(5)of the BNS. In the matter of: Bimal Chandra Bhowmik ...Petitioner. Mr. Sourav Chatterjee, Sr. Adv. …for the petitioner. Mr. Sayan Mukherjee …for the State. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aged about 68 years and has been implicated in the present case because of change in administration. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and injury report. I have taken into account the injury report and the injury which has been sustained relates to abrasion. Having regard to the overall circumstances, I am inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Thus, prayer for anticipatory bail is allowed. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released subject to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also abide by the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr. P.C/482(2) of the BNSS. As the investigation of the case is in progress, the petitioner shall appear within a 2 period of 10 days before the Investigating Officer and also on all subsequent dates as proposed by the Investigating Officer. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1811 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of evidence filed by the State is taken on record. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
