p. 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK BLAPL No.6015 of 2026 CNR No. ODHC010436542026 Samir @ Rakesh Rout … Petitioner Mr. S.K. Baral, Advocate -versus- State of Odisha … Opposite Party Mr. R.B. Mishra, Addl. PP CORAM: JUSTICE G. SATAPATHY Order No. ORDER(ORAL)12.08.2026 01. 1. This is a bail application U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioner for grant of bail in connection with Khuntuni PS Case No.20 of 2020 corresponding to ST Case No.77 of 2023 pending in the file of learned Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Athagarh for commission of offences punishable U/Ss. 341/ 326/ 294/ 506/ 307/ 379/ 34 of IPC 2. Heard, Mr. Susanta Kumar Baral, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R.B. Mishra, learned Additional Public Prosecutor in the present matter and perused the record. 3. Admittedly, this is a bail jump case, but the petitioner was earlier on bail, however, the NBWA was issued against the petitioner on 18.02.2026 when he failed to appear before the trial Court and the petitioner was taken into custody on 16.05.2026 on the strength of NBWA and thereby, the petitioner must have felt the rigor of law by remaining in custody for flouting the orders of the Court. In the aforesaid circumstances, this p. 2 Court by taking a lenient view admits the petitioner to bail. 4. Hence, the bail application of the petitioner stands allowed and the petitioner is allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) only with two solvent sureties each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper with following condition:- (i) the petitioner in the course of trial shall attend the trial Court on each date of posting without fail unless his attendance is dispensed with. In case the Petitioner fails without sufficient cause to appear in the Court in accordance with the terms of the bail, the learned trial Court may proceed against the Petitioner for offence U/S.269 of BNS, 2023 in accordance with law. 5. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order as per Rules. A soft copy of this order be immediately communicated to the concerned Court, who shall afterwards communicate the same to the concerned Jail through e- mail for reference. (G. Satapathy) Judge Priyajit
