Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 4 months, evidence of the victim has been concluded, as such, petitioner may be released on bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the victim was kidnapped/abducted and thereafter the accused forced himself and detained the minor for a period of 8 to 10 days. Having considered the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. 2 Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(M)814 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. The Investigating Officer and the Inspector-in-Charge are present in Court. Their further appearance before this Court is dispensed with. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
