… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that there are no materials appearing against the present petitioner, yet, she has been arrested very recently. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the case was registered in May, 2009 and the petitioner was evading the process of law for more than 16 years. Having considered that the petitioner has participated in the process very recently, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.
2 Liberty is granted to canvass the merits of the case after the charges are framed before the learned trial court. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1591 of 2026 is dismissed.
