31.07.2026 Serial no. 35 [G.S.D] CRM (A) 1627 of 2026 In re : An Application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023/under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C. in connection with Kotwali PS Case No. 295 of 2026 dated 18.03.2026 u/s 316(2)/318(4) of the BNS. -And- In the matter of : Sujoy Pal … Petitioner(s) Mr. Dhananjay Banerjee Mr. M. Islam … for the petitioner(s) Mr. Ramashis Mukherjee Mr. Utsav Dutta … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate added that there was a dispute relating to a land for which the petitioner being an employee of the bank has been foisted with the instant case. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and by producing the case diary draws the attention of the court to the statement of the loan holders and the money received by the present petitioner not deposited with the bank. 2 Having considered the stage of the case, I am of the opinion that custodial interrogation of the present petitioner may be called for in the present case. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (A) 1627 of 2025 is dismissed. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
