ORAL ORDER
1. Accused in S.C. No.294/2026 pending before the Court of 46th Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru arising out of Crime No.396/2025 registered by Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru for offences punishable under Sections 75(2), 78, 79, 308(2), 351(2) 352 of BNS, 2023 and Section 67(A) of Information Technology Act, 2000 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking regular bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. FIR in Crime No.396/2025 was registered by Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 15.12.2025 received from the victim girl aged about 19 years. During the course of investigation, petitioner was arrested in said case on 15.12.2025 and remanded to judicial custody. His

bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in S.C. No.294/2026 was rejected on 18.03.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court.

Perusal of the first information as well as the charge sheet filed in the present case would go to show that petitioner and the alleged victim were got acquainted with each other in the month of September 2025 through a social media application known as Snapchat. It appears that they were exchanging messages on Snapchat application. Allegation against the petitioner is that he had induced the victim girl to send her nude photographs and videos to him through Snapchat application and subsequently, he had allegedly threatened her of circulating the same and demanded money. Petitioner, who has no other criminal antecedents is in custody in the present case for the last more than seven months. Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed. Maximum punishment for the alleged offences is imprisonment for a period of seven years.
5. Considering the nature of allegations as against the petitioner, I am of the opinion that his prayer for grant of

regular bail needs to be answered affirmatively, Accordingly, the following:
ORDER The petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in S.C. No.294/2026 pending before the Court of 46th Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru, arising out of Crime No.396/2025 registered by Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru for offences punishable under Sections 75(2), 78, 79, 308(2), 351(2) 352 of BNS, 2023 and Section 67(A) of Information Technology Act, 2000, subject to the following conditions: a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the date of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons;

c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future.
