It appears that the order under contempt has been substantially complied with. The representation submitted by the petitioner/applicant has been disposed of by the Pradhan, Pearapur Gram Panchayat with an observation that the building raised by the private respondent is without sanction plan. The order has been forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Serampore for necessary action. It is expected that the Sub-Divisional Officer shall take necessary steps in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 at the earliest. In view of the above, the contempt application is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
