The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not treating the study period of 574 days of the Petitioner i.e., from 10.01.2014 to 06.08.2015 as ‘in-service training’ and not sanctioning full pay and allowances (excluding study allowance), as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner was appointed as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon on 20.03.2008 and was permitted by the competent authority to prosecute Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc) course in veterinary medicine at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupathi vide G.O.Rt.No.4, dated 02.01.2014. In pursuance thereto, the Petitioner had completed the M.V.Sc course. However, the Respondents are not treating the period of study of the Petitioner i.e., from 10.01.2014 to 06.08.2015 as ‘in-service training’ nor did they pay salary and allowances for the aforesaid period to the Petitioner. Thereafter, the Petitioner had given representations, dated 18.04.2026 and 11.05.2020 to the competent authorities and as the same is not being considered, the present Writ Petition came to be filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services submitted that the representations given by the Petitioner would be examined and an appropriate decision would be communicated to the Petitioner. 5 4. Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondent-Authorities are directed to examine the representations given by the Petitioner, dated 18.04.2026 and 11.05.2020, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) No order as to costs. 5.
