The revisional application has been preferred praying for quashing of the proceedings in G.R. Case No. 708 of 2012 arising out of Raipur Police Station Case No. 48 of 2012 dated 01.11.2012 under Section 406 of the IPC, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Khatra, Bankura. 2. Mr. Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to pendency of the proceedings before the learned Trial Court for the last 13 years, the petitioner on superannuating is not receiving any pension. It is also submitted that there are 13 witnesses. It is further submitted by Mr. Gupta that the complainant in the present case while deposing in this case has not supported the contents of the complaint as made out. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State has placed a status report wherein it appears that on 24th July, 2026 evidence was fixed for examination of P.W.5 and P.W.6. As 2 such, considering the fact that the proceedings is pending since 2012 and the slow pace in which the trial is proceeding, this Court directs that the learned Trial Court shall proceed with the present case, by fixing day to day trial for examination of witnesses from the date of communication of this order and will ensure that the matter is disposed of within 60 days thereafter. 4. Considering the fact that the trial has progressed in the present case to a certain extent, it is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case. 5. The revisional application stands disposed of. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of necessary formalities. (Shampa Dutt (Paul), J.)
