1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a limited prayer of direction to the respondent authorities to consider and decide his representation dated 27.07.2026 (Annexure P/4) seeking compassionate appointment on account of the death of his paternal uncle, Late Kashiram Suryavanshi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's paternal uncle, Late Kashiram Suryavanshi, who was working as a Line Attendant under the Operation & Maintenance Division, Sakti, of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited, died in harness on 07.05.2026. He submits that the deceased employee was unmarried and was maintaining the family of his younger brother, including the petitioner, and the petitioner's mother was also recorded as his nominee. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation before the competent authority seeking compassionate appointment; however, the same has not been considered or decided till date.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents/ State submits that if the representation submitted by the petitioner is still pending
consideration, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law, the applicable rules and the prevailing policy, within the stipulated period.

4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings as well as the documents appended with the writ petition.

Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and also taking into account the submission made by learned State counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the pending application/representation dated 27.07.2026 submitted by the petitioner for compassionate appointment and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, the applicable rules and the prevailing policy, preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/-
