Accused in Crime No.197 of 2026 registered by Yelahanka New Town Police Station, Bengaluru City for offence punishable under Section 109(1) of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.197 of 2026 was registered by Yelahanka New Town Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offence against the petitioner herein, based on the first information dated 12.05.2026 received from Smt. Renuka, who is the injured victim in the present case. During the course of investigation, petitioner herein was arrested on 13.05.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.4989 of 2026 was rejected on 08.06.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. In the first information which is submitted on 12.05.2026, the victim has alleged that her husband had died - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010410282026 NC: 2026:KHC:39219 CRL.P No. 8674 of 2026 about five years earlier and thereafter, she got acquainted with the petitioner. Petitioner allegedly was forcing her to stay with him and therefore, she had blocked his mobile phone and had shifted her house. The petitioner, who came to the said house on 12.05.2026 allegedly had quarreled with her and assaulted her with a knife. 5. The wound certificate of the victim would go to show that, she has suffered a simple injury as a result of assault made by the petitioner. Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet has been filed. Petitioner has no other criminal antecedents. Under the circumstances, the following :- ORDER (i) Criminal petition is allowed. (ii) The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.197 of 2026 registered by Yelahanka New Town Police Station, Bengaluru City for offence punishable under Section 109(1) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:- - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010410282026 NC: 2026:KHC:39219 CRL.P No. 8674 of 2026 a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future. e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off.
