Mr. Tarun Lakhera, learned B.H. for the State. 3. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Haridwar, to decide the application of the petitioner for armed license expeditiously within a stipulated time. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for an armed license before respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Haridwar, by making an application in September, 2024 which is entered as file no.503/2024 Police Station Kotwali-Jawalapur, District-Haridwar. The said application is still pending disposal. 5. It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that on the said application a Police Report dated 01.01.2026 and necessary N.O.C.s’ from the concerned Departments are also received, but still petitioner’s application has yet not been decided. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner has made an innocuous prayer that if a direction would be issued to the respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Haridwar, to decide the application of the petitioner file no.503/2024 expeditiously, the ends of justice would be met. 7. To the said proposition there is no opposition from the side of the State counsel. 8. Accordingly writ petition stand disposed of finally and it 2 is provided that respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Haridwar, shall consider and shall decide the application of the petitioner file no.503/2024 expeditiously, within a period of four weeks’ from today, strictly, in accordance with law.
