Sr. No. 51 HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU OWP No. 275/2010 Inhabitants of Village Upper Dangrol …. Petitioner/Appellant(s) Through:- Mrs. Surinder Kour, Sr. Advocate V/s State of J&K and others …..Respondent(s) Through:- None. CORAM: HON’BLE MRS. JUSTICE SINDHU SHARMA, JUDGE ORDER 22.09.2026 1. The instant writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking directions to the respondents to construct the School at Village Upper Dangrol (Saroor), which, according to the petitioner, is a suitable and centrally located place and where the Government has also accorded sanction for construction of the School. 2. A further direction is sought to restrain the respondents from constructing the School at Village Dangrol and to declare the action of the respondents, whereby they have decided to construct the School at Village Dangrol, which, according to the petitioner, is neither suitable nor centrally located, as ultra vires, unconstitutional and contrary to the provisions of law. 3. Notice in the petition was issued on 20.03.2010. Thereafter, the matter was listed on 14.05.2010 and has been taken up today. OWP No. 275/2010 4. It appears that, with the efflux of time, the relief sought by the petitioner has become infructuous. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. 5. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to revive the petition or file afresh, in accordance with law, in case any cause of action survives. (Sindhu Sharma) Judge Jammu: 22.09.2026 Michal Sharma/PS
