JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: “a) Quash the action of Respondents in freezing the petitioner's bank account and imposing lien of Rs. 1,72,676/- vide Annexure A; b) Direct Respondent No. 4 Bank to defreeze the account and remove the lien of Rs. 1,72,676/- vide Annexure A; c) Grant protection against coercive action/arrest in connection with FIR No.158/2025 dated 01/06/2025 registered by Respondent No. 2 vide Annexure B before 1st ACMM at Bengaluru for offence under Section 66(D) IT Act. d) Pass such other order(s) as deemed fit in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. Heard Srikanth V.K., learned counsel for petitioner and Sri B.N.Jagadeesha, learned State Public Prosecutor – 1 for respondent No.1 – State. Notice to respondent No.2 is not issued. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would deposit the amount that came into his account from nowhere, of ₹1,72,676/-. - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010303542026 NC: 2026:KHC:39575 CRL.P No. 6574 of 2026 4. In the light of the aforesaid said undertaking, if the amount is deposited before this Court in the next one week, the account of the petitioner shall be permitted to make normal operation and demarking the lien. 5. With the aforesaid direction, the following: ORDER a. The criminal petition stands disposed. b. In the event the deposit is not made as undertaken, the receipt of the deposit so made shall be produced before the Investigating Officer who would communicate to the bank to permit normal operation of the account by demarking the lien.
