Order on Board 14.08.2026
1. The present MCC has been 4led seeking restoration of WPS No. 4418/2026, which was dismissed for want of prosecution vide order dated 08.07.2026. 2. Learned counsel for the applicants submits that, due to inadvertence and oversight, the applicants could not notice the listing of the aforesaid writ petition in the cause list dated
08.07.2026. Since the said writ petition had not been listed for a considerable period of time, the applicants moved an application seeking urgent hearing, whereupon they came to know that the writ petition had already been dismissed for want of prosecution. It is further submitted that the non- appearance on behalf of the applicants was neither deliberate nor intentional, but was occasioned solely due to an inadvertent lapse on the part of the learned counsel. It is submitted that the applicants ought not to be made to su<er for such an inadvertent and bona 4de lapse. 3
3. In view of the facts and circumstances stated hereinabove, it is prayed that the dismissal order passed in WPS No. 4418/2026 may kindly be recalled and the writ petition be restored to its original number and position, in the interest of justice. 4. On due consideration of the submissions made and for the reasons assigned in the application, duly supported by an a=davit, this Court is satis4ed that su=cient cause has been shown for restoration of WPS No. 4418/2026
