AD 91 July 29, 2026 Ct. 35 SG CRM(NDPS) 1512 of 2026 Allowed An application for bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Ashoknagar P.S. Case No.359 of 2025 dated 10.06.2025 under Sections 21(C)/29 of the NDPS Act. And In the matter of: Dinabandhu Mondal and another … petitioners Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty Mr. S.S. Saha Mr. Saikat Ghosh … for the petitioners Mr. Kalidas Saha Ms. Moumita Pondit … for the State Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are similarly placed as the other accused who has been granted bail in CRM(NDPS) 796 of 2026. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to refute the contention that the petitioners are not similarly situated as the other accused who has been granted bail. Having considered that Guljar Mohammad is similarly placed as the petitioners, I am inclined to release the petitioners on bail. As such, the petitioners, namely, Dinabandhu Mondal and Rustam Khan be released on bail on same terms and conditions by the learned trial court as was imposed upon Guljar Mohammad in CRM(NDPS) 796 of 2026. 2 Thus, CRM(NDPS) 1512 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
