D/L53 31.07.2026 Bpg. dismissed C.R.M. (A) 1662 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Berhampore Police Station Case No.610 of 2026 dated 26.04.2026 under Sections 329(4)/331(7)/117(2)/118(2)/109(1)/64(1)/62/74/303(2) /324(4)/351(3)/61(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Biswajit Das @ Bishu Das & Anr. Versus The State of West Bengal & Anr. Mr. Milon Mukherjee Mr. J.I. Hossain. …for the petitioners. Mr. Krishnendu Bhattacharya Mr. Suman Chakraborty. …for the State. Mr. Moyukh Mukherjee Mr. Koustav Lal Mukherjee. …for the de facto complainant. Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present case on the political vendetta. State has produced the case diary. I have taken into account the injury report as well as the statement of one Mahadeb Ghosh. Learned advocate for the de facto complainant opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. I have taken into account the overall materials and I am 2 of the opinion that this is not a fit case for releasing the petitioners on anticipatory bail as the injured has named the petitioners as well as the injuries prima facie seem to be grievous. Accordingly, at this stage, CRM(A) 1662 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
