( 2026:JHHC:9824 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 1924 of 2026 ------ Shyamsundar Bharti, aged about 55 years, s/o late Sita Ram Rajak, r/o Village-Pathalgadda, P.O. & P.S.-Pathalgadda, Dist.-Chatra, Jharkhand … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opposite Party ------ CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY ------ For the Petitioner : Mr. Nikhil Ranjan, Advocate (Through Video Conferencing) : Mr. Adarsh Tiwari, Advocate For the State : Mr. Pankaj Kumar, P.P. ------ Order No.03 Dated- 07.04.2026 Heard the parties. The petitioner has moved this Court for grant of bail in connection with Itkhori P.S. Case No.25 of 2024 (G.R. No. 590 of 2024) registered for the offences punishable under sections 406/420 of the Indian Penal Code. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this is the third journey of the petitioner with the prayer for regular bail. It is next submitted that there is no fresh ground except that the petitioner has been in custody for some more time. Considering the fact that there is no fresh ground and the prayer for bail has earlier been rejected on merit; merely because the petitioner has been in custody for some more time, in the considered opinion of this case is not a ground to admit the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected for the same reasons as mentioned in the order dated 28.03.2025 passed in B.A. No. 472 of 2025 by which the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected.
