Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher in a Government Junior High School in District Uttarkashi. Earlier, she was serving in Government Junior High School, Dwari, Bhatwari, Uttarkhashi. In the year 2025, she was attached to Government Junior High School, Kunjan, Bhatwari. Petitioner is aggrieved by subsequent order, issued on 31.03.2026, by District Education Officer (Primary), Uttarkashi, whereby she has been adjusted in Government Junior High School, Syaba, Bhatwari, Uttarkashi. 4. Petitioner contends that her husband is serving as Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade, Physical Education in Government Inter College, Sora, therefore, under the spouse policy, petitioner is entitled to be posted at the place, where her husband is posted. It is further contended that petitioner has served at durgam/ ati durgam places throughout her service career, therefore, she has earned a 2026:UHC:2638 right to be posted at a sugam place. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that if petitioner has any grievance regarding her adjustment, then she can approach the competent authority, by making representation. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made a representation to the District Education Officer (Primary), on 28.03.2026, which is still pending. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the District Education Officer concerned to take decision on the pending representation of the petitioner, as per law, within two weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. Till decision on petitioner’s representation or for a period of two weeks, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards her posting shall be maintained.
