AD 313 July 30, 2026 Ct. 35 SG CRM(M) 1634 of 2026 Dismissed An application for bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Eco Park P.S. Case No.195 of 2024 dated 01.09.2024 under Sections 103/61(3) of the BNS. And In the matter of: Saifuddin Goldar … petitioner Mr. Anubrata Dutta … for the petitioner Mr. Goutam Dey Mr. Neel Chakraborty … for the State Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 10 months. Till date 8 witnesses have been examined and the prosecution intends to examine total 45 witnesses in the present case. There is no possibility of trial being taken to its logical conclusion. As such, the petitioner be released on bail on any stringent condition. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner was associated with contract killers who engaged sharp shooters and committed the offence. Having regard to the gravity of the offence and the materials including the petitioner being identified in the TI Parade, I am of the view that it would not be fit and proper to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. 2 Accordingly, CRM(M) 1634 of 2026 is dismissed. Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
