And In the matter of: Sk. Miraj Hossain @ Sk. Miraj … petitioner
Mr. Joy Chakraborty Mr. Souvik Ganguly
… for the petitioner
Mr. Gurudas Mitra
Mr. Utsav Dutta
… for the State
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 1 year. Till date charges have not been framed and being an employee under a concern, he was engaged in a job. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner technically knows how to prepare fake documents by using regular biometric and UIDAI norms. At the time when the petitioner was arrested, seizure was effected which included Aadhaar Cards and other identity documents. Having regard to the role of the petitioner, particularly participation in the conspiracy of preparation of fake documents to nationals of other countries, I am not inclined
2 to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage. Accordingly, CRM(M) 1630 of 2026 is rejected. Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
