Crl.M.P.No.6020 of 2026 in Crl.A.SR.No.18008 of 2026 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J. The present Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 32 days in filing the Criminal Appeal, as against the judgment of acquittal dated 09.10.2025 passed in Crl.A.No.08 of 2024 by the learned Sessions Judge, Karaikal.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the petitioner was bedridden and was undergoing treatment, he was unable to file the appeal on time and hence, there is a delay. He further submitted that the private notice taken to the respondent has been served.
3. Despite service of notice on the respondent and his name being printed in the cause list, there is no representation on his behalf.
4. Having been satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this condone delay petition, the delay of 32 days is condoned and this petition stands ordered.
5. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and post the same in regular course. 22.04.2026 Sni https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
