Learned counsel submits that a representation has been submitted on 14.05.2026, Annexure P7, seeking issuance of appointment letter as Male Constable (GD), for which he was recommended to join, vide Annexure P5, but not allowed as there was an FIR registered against him during the process of selection wherein cancellation report stands accepted on 02.01.2026, Annexure P6. Reliance is placed on the judgment of Division Bench in State of Haryana and others vs. Surender, LPA-2306-2025, decided on 11.08.2025 as also Rule 12.18 of Punjab Police (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2015, Annexure P8. He, on instructions, prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in light thereof, in a time bound manner. 2. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 14.05.2026, Annexure P-7, within a period of 3 months, in accordance with law, taking note of the aforesaid judgment & Rule, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith.
