Learned advocate also submits that there is no possibility of the trial being concluded in the near future as the prosecution has relied upon 15 witnesses. Therefore, learned advocate prays that the petitioner may be released on bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the present case is of kidnapping for ransom and the petitioner has been identified in the T.I. parade. According to the learned advocate, there are materials to suggest the complicity of the present petitioner and two others. 2 Having regard to the gravity of the offence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1585 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted be kept with the record.
