For Respondent No. 7 : Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Advocate Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Order On Board 12.8.2026 1) In these petitions, petitioners have sought following reliefs :- 10.1 The Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire records pertaining to the promotion case of petitioner. 10.2 The Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities, particularly the respondent no. 2 to 4 to consider the name of petitioner for promotion as on due date to the post of Inspector with all service benefits. 10.3 The Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities, particularly the respondent no. 2 to 4 to 4 consider and decide the representations preferred by the petitioner within stipulated period 30 days and in accordance with the departmental rules and regulations. 2) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners were initially appointed to the post of Sub Inspector (Special Branch) under the respondent department vide order dated 8.4.2004 and juniors to the petitioners were granted promotion to the post of Inspector vide order dated 3.2.2012. He further submits that petitioners made representations before the respondent authorities and they were subsequently extended the benefit of promotion vide order dated 14.1.2014. He contends that petitioners are entitled for promotion to the post of Inspector w.e.f. 3.2.2012 i.e. the date when their juniors were promoted. He further contends that petitioners may be permitted to make detailed representation(s) claiming therein seniority and benefits attached to the promotional post w.e.f. 3.2.2012 before the Director General Of Police, State of Chhattisgarh, who in turn may be directed to decide the same at the earliest. 3) On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the respondents would oppose. 4) Heard. 5) Taking into consideration the limited prayer made by the petitioners, these petitions are hereby being disposed reserving liberty in favor of the petitioners to make detailed representation(s) claiming therein seniority and benefits attached to the promotional 5 post w.e.f. 3.2.2012 before Director General of Police, State of Chhattisgarh at the earliest. It is expected that the authority concerned shall consider the representation(s) in objective manner preferably within period of 120 days from the receipt of copy of such representation(s). 6) With the aforesaid direction, these petitions are disposed. 7) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
