In terms of the order dated 16th June, 2026 a report is filed by Sub-Divisional Officer, Alipore, South 24 Parganas and same is taken on record. 2. A communication dated 1st July, 2026 of Officer-in- Charge, Kasba Police Station is filed and same is taken on record. Copies of report of Sub-Divisional Officer, Alipore, South 24 Parganas and communication dated 1st July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and respondent nos.8 & 9. 3. It is disclosed in the report of Sub-Divisional Officer that a proceeding has been initiated under the relevant provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Issue was considered by the Sub-Divisional Officer on 13th July, 2026 when petitioner was not represented. 4. Matter is fixed for consideration by Sub-Divisional Officer on 30th July, 2026 when the present writ petition is heard by this Court. Sub-Divisional Officer is requested to fix another date after fortnight. 5. Petitioner is directed to appear before the Sub- Divisional Officer by seven days from date and apprise the Sub-Divisional Officer about her present address for issuance of notice. 6. It is disclosed in the communication dated 1st July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station that based on complaint a criminal prosecution being Kasba Police Station Case No.338 dated 29th June, 2026 has been initiated. 7. Concerned police authorities are directed to expedite the investigation and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 8. If petitioner conveys her intention to stay at her own residence, in that event Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station is directed to provide necessary assistance and protection to the petitioner which would enable the petitioner to stay at her residence. 9. Respondent nos.8 & 9 are also directed not to disturb the petitioner if petitioner chooses to stay at her residence. 10. With the aforesaid direction, writ petition stands disposed of. 2 11. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) 3
