And In the matter of: Uttam Das. …. Petitioner. Mr. Kaushik Choudhury Mr. Dwaipayan Panda ..for the petitioner Mr. Debayan Ghosh ..….for the State Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that 2000 ampules of Buprenorphine injections were recovered from the wife of the petitioner and the petitioner is in custody for about 8 months. Charges have already been framed, as such the petitioner be released on bail. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that there are call data records available and the petitioner is intrinsically connected with the aforesaid illegal transaction. Having regard to the materials appearing in the case diary at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. The petitioner be well advised to approach this Court after the examination of the seizure list witnesses are over, since charges have been framed. I direct the learned trial Court to fix date for the examination of the seizure list witnesses on a priority basis. 2 With the aforesaid observations, CRM (NDPS) 1496 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of evidence filed by the State be kept with the record. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
