Brief facts leading rise to the filing of these petitions are as follows: 2.1. The husband of the petitioner in WP No.2728/2026 was an employee in respondent No.2- Corporation, appointed on a contract basis as Assistant Accountant. The petitioner's husband passed away while he was working under respondent No.2-Authority. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application for representation seeking a job on compassionate ground - 16 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010071522026 NC: 2026:KHC:37079 WP No. 2728 of 2026 C/W WP No. 12629 of 2024 WP No. 32336 of 2024 AND 4 OTHERS and her request was considered and she was appointed as an Attender. 2.2. The petitioners in other writ petitions are the employees in respondent No.2-Authority appointed on contract basis. While the petitioners and several others identically placed were continuously working, respondent No.1 has issued a notification abolishing certain posts, re- designating and providing for separate recruitment process which has the effect of denial of continuation, uninterrupted services. Hence, these petitions. 3. Despite granting sufficient opportunity, the respondents have not filed statements of objections. 4. Heard the arguments of learned counsel for the petitioners, learned AGA for respondent No.1 and learned counsel for respondent No.2. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, similarly placed petitioners approached this Court by filing a writ petition in WP No.18827/2022 and connected - 17 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010071522026 NC: 2026:KHC:37079 WP No. 2728 of 2026 C/W WP No. 12629 of 2024 WP No. 32336 of 2024 AND 4 OTHERS matters. The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court has allowed the writ petitions vide order dated 18.11.2023. They submit that, the respondents, aggrieved by the order passed in the aforesaid writ petition, filed a writ appeal before the Division Bench in WA No.1500/2024. The Division Bench dismissed the appeal vide judgment dated 10.06.2026. They submit that, these petitions may be disposed of in terms of the order passed in the aforesaid writ petition. 6. Per contra, learned counsel for respondent No.2 also submits that, the issue involved in this case is squarely covered by the order dated 18.11.2023 passed by the Co-ordinate Bench in WP No.18827/2022 and connected matters. Accordingly, prays to dispose of these writ petitions. 7. As the issue involved in this case is squarely covered by the order dated 18.11.2023 passed by the Co-ordinate Bench in WP No.18827/2022 and connected matters, these writ petitions are accordingly disposed of clarifying that the petitioners, if eligible, are entitled to be considered for absorption in terms of Government order dated 26.10.2017, especially in terms of clause 2 of the operative portion thereof, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 9.
