By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents to release the pensionary and other retiral dues payable to him, including arrears of pension, full pension, General Provident Fund, Gratuity, Group Insurance Scheme, leave encashment and other service benefits, along with appropriate interest. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was working on the post of Lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School, Baloda, Block Saraipali, District Mahasamund and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.07.2023. However, despite lapse of more than two years from the date of his retirement, the respondents have not released the entire retiral dues payable to him nor have they commenced payment of his full pension. It is further submitted that the petitioner has made representations before the authorities and correspondence has also taken place between the concerned authorities regarding release of his GPF amount, but the retiral benefits have still not been paid. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner is entitled to receive his pensionary and other retiral benefits in accordance with law and the respondents cannot indefinitely withhold such legitimate dues after his retirement. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.4 submits that, in fact, the petitioner has received advances from time to time from the concerned authorities and that, during the period from 2011 to 2015, he had also 3 received part-final withdrawals from his GPF account. It is submitted that this fact was brought to the notice of the petitioner and an explanation was called for from him. For the said purpose, letters dated 21.01.2021, 05.07.2021, 05.07.2022, 03.03.2023, 05.04.2023 and 05.05.2023 were issued to the petitioner. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the nature of the grievance raised and the submission made on behalf of the respondents, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim, the petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the writ petition before the Office of the Advocate General within 15 days from today. On receipt thereof, the Office of the Advocate General shall forthwith forward the same to the High Power Pension Redressal Committee. The Committee shall thereafter consider and decide the petitioner's grievance with regard to the GPF amount, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the concerned Department and the Office of the Accountant General, by passing an appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a further period of 60 days thereafter. 6.
