Le the same be taken on record. 2. Having considered the explanation provided and the apology tendered, the report is accepted. Further noting from the statement made in the aforesaid report filed in the form of an affidavit that the municipality having taken cognizance of the petitioner’s complaint and having issued a hearing notice and the hearing has been re-scheduled on 1st August, 2026 in relation to the alleged unauthorized construction at the behest of the respondent Nos. 6 and 7, and also noting that the primary grievance of the petitioner was failure on the part of the respondent Nos. 4 and 5 to take appropriate steps in relation to the WPA 2906 of 2024 2 unauthorized construction carried out at premises No. DE-219 and DE 218 East Narayantala, P.O. Aswininagar, P.S. Baguihati, Kokata-700159, I am of the view, nothing survives in the instant writ petition. 3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the respondent No. 2 to take decision in the matter in accordance with Section 266 of the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) upon giving opportunity of hearing to the interested parties and to bring the same to a logical conslusion in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order. 4. Once the proceedings are disposed of by passing a reasoned order as directed, the same shall be communicated to the parties forthwith. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
