The petitioner was shown arrested in this case on 20.02.2026 in connection with Jalukbari P.S Case No. 54/2026 u/s 304(2)/3(5) of BNS, 2023. Page No.# 2/2 The case was registered pursuant to an FIR dated 09.02.2026 lodged by the alleged victim. The allegation that while she was travelling towards e- Rickswaw stand, two Bike borne person cut and pulled the gold chain from her neck weighing 12 grams. Later after checking from the CCTV footage, the culprit could be nabbed and the gold chain retrieved. The CD has been received. The learned Addl. P.P submits that he was earlier arrested in one case registered by the Diphu Police Station and that apart, from implicating materials in the instant case, there are also materials indicating his habitual involvement in these kind of activities. It is submitted that though there is some progress in the investigation, but some other associates suspected to be involved in this activities are yet to be arrested.
