By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and decide her pending application dated 12.08.2025 (Annexure P/3) for grant of compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father died in harness on 15.07.2025. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 12.08.2015 (Annexure P-3) seeking compassionate appointment. She submits that despite lapse of considerable time, the said application has neither been considered nor decided by the competent authority and no order has been passed thereon till date. 3. Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that if the application submitted by the petitioner is still pending consideration, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law within the stipulated period. 3 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings as well as the documents appended with the writ petition. 5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and also taking into account the submission made by learned State counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned respondent authorities to consider and decide the pending application/representation (Annexure P/3) submitted by the petitioner for compassionate appointment and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
