The present contempt case has been filed for alleged non-compliance of the order dated 26.08.2019 passed in W.P.(S) No.7250 of 2016 by which the following direction was passed :- “12. In the result, this writ petition stands allowed. Impugned order issued under Memo No. 1770, dated 11.08.2015 (Annexure4), passed by respondent no. 3 – District Superintendent Education Officer, Giridih is hereby quashed and set aside. 13. As a sequel of aforesaid rules, observations, guidelines, I, hereby, direct the respondents to pay entire retiral benefits to the petitioner with statutory interest @6% per annum from the date of his entitlement till the date of payment. The said amount shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.” 2. Mr. Jayant Franklin Toppo, learned counsel appearing for the concerned opposite party, has submitted by referring to the show cause filed on behalf of Opposite 2026:JHHC:9984 2 Party No.2 dated 06.04.2026 that the amount of interest which was directed to be paid @ 6% per annum, to the tune of Rs.6,38,634/-, has already been paid. An statement to that effect has been made at paragraph 8 of the show cause supported by the reasoned order along with the acknowledgment receipt of the transmission of the amount in the account of the petitioner, appended as Annexure-A Series. 3. This Court, considering the fact that the order dated 26.08.2019 passed in W.P.(S) No.7250 of 2016 has been complied with and as such, is of the view that there is no need to proceed further. 4.
