29.07.2026 Serial no. 120 [G.S.D] CRM (NDPS) 1541 of 2026 In re : An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 in connection with Krishnaganj PS Case No. 486 of 2024 dated 16.12.2024 u/s 21(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. -And- In the matter of : Dipankar Ghosh @ Bhodar … … Petitioner(s) Mr. Sumanta Das … for the Petitioner(s) Ms. Sreshtha Ghosh Ms. Nabanita Chatterjee … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the similarly placed accused person has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 516 of 2026. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to refute the contention that the petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused who has been granted bail. Having considered that other accused person [Riju Ghosh] has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 516 of 2026, I am inclined to grant bail to the present petitioner on the same terms and conditions as was imposed upon Riju Ghosh in CRM (NDPS) 516 of 2026. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner [Dipankar Ghosh @ Bhodar] is Allowed. 2 The learned trial court/Special court would release the petitioner on bail on the same terms and conditions as was imposed on Riju Ghosh in CRM (NDPS) 516 of 2026. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1541 of 2026 is allowed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
