Safdar, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Tumul Nainwal, learned A.G.A. with Ms. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief Holder for the State. 3. The instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioners seeking the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned FIR dated 01.03.2026 registered as case crime no. 89 of 2026 under Section 3 Section 5 read with Section 11 of Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, PS Kotwali Gangnahar District Haridwar. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest the petitioners in Case Crime No. 89 of 2026 under Section 3 Section 5 read with Section 11 of Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, PS Kotwali Gangnahar District Haridwar till the pendency of present petition. 4. After arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are ready to surrender before the court concerned, however, since the “Ramazan” is going on, the protection may be given during this period. 5. The State counsel has no objection. 6. In such view of the matter, instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to surrender before the court concerned on or before 13.04.2026.
