By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and release his pensionary benefits and other retiral dues in accordance with law. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aggrieved by the debit balance and proposed recovery shown in his GPF Account. She submits that respondent No.6 initially intimated him on 09.03.2024 that his GPF account was showing a negative balance of Rs.8,41,511/- and thereafter, vide communication dated 12.03.2024, the negative balance was shown as Rs.20,48,707/-. She further submits that respondent No.2/Accountant General, vide letter dated 27.02.2024, also informed the petitioner that the said amount was treated as penal interest under Rule 14(7) of the Chhattisgarh General Provident Fund Rules, 1955, and was required to be recovered from him. Learned counsel submits that the respondents have consequently withheld the petitioner's retiral dues and other benefits, and the said recovery is contrary to the applicable GPF Rules. Hence the present petition. 3 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents would submit that for redressal of any grievance regarding retiral dues of a retired employee, the State Government has constituted a High Power Pension Redressal Committee and the representatives of the Accountant General are also member therein, therefore, it will be appropriate to refer the present matter to the said Committee, further the Committee shall decide the same in accordance with law. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the documents available on record. 5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and the submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to furnish a copy of the writ petition along with all relevant documents before the Office of the Advocate General within a period of one week. Upon receipt thereof, the Office of the Advocate General shall forward the same to the High Power Pension Redressal Committee within a further period of 15 days. The said Committee shall thereafter consider and decide the grievance of the petitioner regarding his pensionary benefits and other retiral dues, in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties, as well as the petitioner, and pass an appropriate reasoned order preferably within a period of 60 days thereafter. 4 6.
