The petitioners have >led this petition with the following reliefs:- “ 10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue suitable writ (s), order (s), direction (s) by commanding/directing the respondent authorities, more particularly respondent No.4, to consider and decide the petitioners' application dated 29.02.2016 (Annexure P/1) seeking cancellation of the registration of Bus bearing Registration No. C.G. 11 A 6108, strictly in accordance with law, after taking into consideration the No Tax Due Certi>cate dated 11.03.2016 (Annexure P/2) and the subsequent representations and documents submitted by the petitioners, within a time frame manner, in the interest of justice. 3 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records from the respondent authorities for its kind perusal. 10.3 Any other relief, which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.” 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners seeks a limited direction to Respondent No. 4, being the competent authority, to consider and decide the petitioner’s application dated 29.02.2016 seeking cancellation of the permit in respect of bus bearing Registration No. CG-11-A-6108 as the petitioner is no longer plying the said vehicle. Despite the application having been submitted, the same has not yet been considered or decided. Learned counsel for the petitioners, therefore, prays that Respondent No. 4 may kindly be directed to consider and decide the petitioner’s application dated 29.02.2016, in accordance with law, within a time-bound period, after aFording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if required. 3. Learned counsel for the State submits that the competent authority shall consider and decide the petitioner’s application 4 dated 29.02.2016, in accordance with law, expeditiously as may be prescribed by this Court. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, upon due consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, perusal of the documents available on record and the fact that the bus is in a stationary and dilapidated condition and the application was >led way back on 29.02.2016, Respondent No. 4 is directed to pass an appropriate order within a period of 15 days from the date of this order, since the application is pending since 2016. The petitioner is directed to appear before the concerned authority on Monday, i.e., 17.08.2026, along with the relevant documents and a copy of this order. 5.
