The petitioners are the sons of one Bimal Das who was serving in Group-D post in a high school. He died-in-harness on July 20, 2020. Immediately after the death of the staff, his widow, i.e., the mother of the petitioners applied for grant of pension. Prior to the same being released, the mother of the petitioner expired on December 9, 2021. E-PPO was issued on January 27, 2025. 3. Presently the petitioners pray for release of the family pension which was due to their mother. A representation from one of the petitioners is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Krishnanagar, Nadia. 4. As it appears the representation of the petitioner no. 1 is pending consideration before the authority, accordingly, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending. 5. The District Inspector of Schools (SE), Krishnanagar, Nadia is directed to consider the prayer 2 of the petitioners for releasing family pension which was due to their mother, strictly in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. The petitioners would be obliged to comply with all the necessary formalities for release of family pension in their favour. 7. The writ petition stands disposed of. 8. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 9.
