(2) Petitioner is serving as daily wager in the Forest Department eversince 1.8.1994 and presently he is being paid ₹18,000/- per month as remuneration. By means of this writ petition, he has sought a direction to the competent authority to regularise his services on the post of Forest Guard or any other Group ‘D’ post, as per Regularisation Rules, 2013, as amended in 2025. (3) Learned State Counsel sought time to get instructions in the matter. Today, on instructions, he submits that the Divisional Forest Officer, Soil Conservation Forest Division, Ranikhet has issued a letter to Conservator of Forest, South Kumaon Circle, Nainital on 21.12.2025, seeking guidance regarding regularisation of two daily wager employees, including petitioner. Learned State Counsel submits that there is one more daily wage employee in the said Division, who is serving since 1.9.1992. He further submits that there are as many as 12 vacancies available on different Group ‘D’ posts in the Division. (4) Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, writ petition is disposed of by directing the competent authority to constitute a committee for considering claim of all eligible persons for regularisation. The said committee shall 2026:UHC:2632 consider the claim of petitioner as well as Dharam Singh, who have been serving in the Division for the last more than 32 years. The Regularisation Committee shall pass necessary order, as per the regularisation rules, within ten weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
